Unit 33 - Original Performance - Deacon Cutt

Began developing songs/lite motifs surrounding our styles utilising our skills (morning) Created Emma's dance with Rob (Afternoon)

 Due to missing multiple members, we realised we collectively struggled creatively with the idea that we had As a result changed our idea to the ghosts in the house one Spent the day coming up with music, litemotifs and other ideas for our piece that we could then take forward Came up with our characters and parts of their backstory 

 Decided on eras of family generations  Divided characters  began to come up with scene ideas  Began to find music 

 Put into our groups today  My own initial ideas involved how different ages react to traumatic events  Effects of trauma on different people Make a piece surrounding a family - naturalistic  Inspired by Haunting of Hill House  Collated ideas idea of different generations of a family 

 Began this rehearsal by finishing off the ending in which we referred back to the phone call made earlier within the piece, we close off with my character making his decision however the lights go out before it is ever confirmed  We then continued to practice our piece before showing it to Tanya  After showing to Tanya, we were given feedback  My feedback included doing something while speaking monologue and coming up with movement to do while sitting at the table deliberating my decision. 

 Recorded all instrument parts required for the opening song  I recorded multiple drum and vocal parts  Due to a lack of experience on the drums I recorded some of the parts separately to ensure that they would be in time with the rest of the music and I wouldn't become confused I used the brushes on much of my playing to create a more authentic jazz sound, it is also much softer and keeps within the calm and controlled nature of the rest of the music.  ------ Completed all remaining elements of the piece and began to run it  Remaining elements included the physicality moments where I walked on top of the other members of my group, pallbearer movement  We ended with only the final moment left to block which we decided we would do the following day.
